We got a new pup that needed tying to an area and bought this gate and an extension as we needed to plug a 57 inch hole. The extension helped the goal fit perfectly. For the money I would recommend this item. The only negative I can say is that I wanted a stretch gate to avoid holes in the wall. These gates come with "cups" that you still have to screw into the wall to hold the gate. We chose not to use cups, but we need these finials very close to the wall so the door will sit flush and we can use them. It took a lot of effort, but once we have it, it works great. Definitely serves its purpose. Well, the pup actually made it through the gate, but that's not reflected in the gate itself.
