Review on Tamron 18 270Mm 3 5 6 3 BOO8E Filter by Tim Wheeler

My favorite lens for photography and still photography

This is the second Tamron AF 18-270mm f/3.5-6.3 VC lens I have owned. However, this is the first time I have the PZD drive function. The first Tamron 18-270 mostly lives on my Canon60d. This is my go-to lens for travel, family reunions, and anything that doesn't require a macro lens or long-range telephoto lens, which is rare. I bought my second Tamron, a PZD powered lens for my Nikon D3100. I use Nikon as a light and/or secondary lens and Tamron is the perfect lens. It came with two kit lenses when I bought the Nikon and they were fine, but I love the fact that I no longer have to change lenses and I think the Tamron is much sharper and faster, smoother and quieter to focus than any other my lenses. Nikon kit lenses. We are planning to go away for a month soon to escape this terrible winter weather. The Tamron lens will be the only lens I will take with me on the trip. It really is a multipurpose workhorse. Another thing to keep in mind is that the Tamron is about half the price of comparable Canon or Nikkor lenses. My first lens had a problem switching between auto and manual focus twice. Tamron has a 6 year warranty so my first lens, despite being over 3 years old, was cleaned and repaired twice quickly and free of charge. I would recommend this lens to anyone who doesn't want to spend $$$$$ on a Canon "L" lens or wants to improve their images over the kit lenses. I'm completely engrossed in the Tamron glass and this lens is my favorite.
