Oh my god, this product saves lives! I used to have major drain issues in my master bathroom shower. I actually bought a drain snake because it's absurdly expensive to call a plumber to clean my drain every 2 months. Then I got wiser and started using a variety of shower filter products. Most of these products are unsightly, and all of them, including this one, require you to remove whatever you have to unclog the drain and put the filter back in place. Voila! I don't have to squirm my pipes anymore! This product is the best of many I've tried. I used other filters that were less aesthetic and less effective. The drain cap is silver and easily attaches to the filter and then simply lowers down the drain. The filter catches hair and anything that might clog the drain and when the filter is full you can just throw it away and put in a new one or try cleaning it to get better use of it (it's not that easy and unsightly , but more economical and environmentally friendly) . You will need a drain cap to use these filter baskets, but trust me it's a good investment!
