Now they are made in China. Excellent work Palatinate. Let's throw years of German quality against cheaper labor. I bought these to replace a much older Pfaltzgraff set (when they were made in the US). While the new set is nice enough, they're difficult to keep clean. As another reviewer said, if you let them air dry they get HORRIBLE water stains. So far I can wet and dry them again, but with my old kit I NEVER had to do that. A few pieces were scratched (WTH?). I would NOT buy Pfaltzgraff again and will be returning a new set. Photo shows water stains after air drying. Terrible, isn't it?
