Review on Efficient Team Communication With Hollyland Solidcom C1 Full-Duplex Wireless Single-Ear Headset by Derrick Villarreal

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Make sure you have the master headset on.

We are going to use this as we stream HS Football & basketball games live. We use an Atem Mini Extreme for our video mixer. The problem was how to get the audio into the atem, which has 2 mike inputs. Work around, you get a xlr cable that plugs into a sm58 shure mike and then plug into 3.5mm split cable that plugs into the Atem. Then you put the mike next to one of the headsets and now you got 5 wireless headsets to use for the announcers and the field announcer and the 2 camera operators. Hollyland needs to make a breakout box for audio to plug direct into the Atem. It completely eliminates need for sound board, wireless mikes and wireless headsets. All with one headset.

Pros
  • Easy to Pair. Long press button A at both the Master and Remote headsets at the same time. The indicator light at mic boom will flash in green, then remain in green when connected in about 5 seconds. You can add up to 6 headsets for team communication.
Cons
  • The microphone quality may be poor, leading to unclear communication
