With 3 of these units plus 2 OBDLink MX units this one works well and has the typical minor issues like all the cheaper ELM327 units. Data processing is a little slow, so inputs like throttle position and RPM sensors have some lag. Basically it's a lie. This was for one of my co-worker's cars so he can control some things on his 4Runner and for the most part it works great for him. Sometimes it disconnects for no reason but reconnects and continues to work. I think it's more because he has multiple BT devices connected to his phone, which sometimes causes the adapter to reconnect, but that only happens once in a long time, so it's not a big problem. For a few bucks you really can't go wrong with this adapter and it works great with the old version of Carista as well as the latest Torque Pro apps. This gives my colleague more than enough control over his Obdii cars to read/reset codes and monitor what he wants to control!
