Hardly durable. The bag expands but still breaks. In addition, pets are not allowed.
A thicker plastic bag (ie a strong one) is the right choice if you want durability. These bags are better than flimsy plastic kitchen bags, but they still tear under heavy loads. If I have something in the bin and the bag isn't in the bin, my cat will grab the bag with its claws and it will rip/rip easily with almost no effort. The smell of the bag also attracts my cat who is bored. Some cats have an odd habit of licking plastic bags, so I wouldn't recommend anything with an odor inside for that reason. After a while, the smell becomes disgusting.
