My son is 6 years old and wears a size 7. I ordered a size 7 and it fits perfectly. I was scared because I saw all these other sizing reviews and I'm glad I went with my first thought and stuck with my son's normal size. The costume is a three-piece suit consisting of vest, coat and pants. It was in a nice duffel bag with the company logo on it, the suit was fresh, brand new, there was nothing wrong with it, I ordered fire red. I don't know my son's measurements but he is not small and not very tall I will say average size for a 6 year old if it helps and the size 6 clothes are too short and tight for my son he always wore clothes one size larger, which means that whatever age he turns, he wears clothes one size larger. It's a lightweight suit, perfect for a cool day, a windy day or even a hot day, I live in Moss Point Miss and it rarely gets very cold here, it's the end of January and I'm wearing a tank top and shorts.
