I bought this for my 19 month old son to help develop his motor skills. The bright colors and shapes of the fish amuse him, and pushing the "fish scales" helps develop motor skills. There are several holes in the fish that you can insert the scales into (it's also handy for problem solving - finding holes), and the top is easily removed to store the scales inside the fish. It's big and easy to use. It's also well made and durable, and I love that the pieces are big enough so it doesn't annoy mom when my son plays with it (always supervised).
