I read the reviews and thought this stool would work as a step stool for a high mattress. Some people seem to think so, but I don't. When it arrived it was obvious it had been returned before me because you could tell it had been overwritten. The build wasn't bad, but it wasn't big enough, big enough, or sturdy enough for me to be comfortable, and I'm 5ft 5" and 150 pounds. I just don't see a good use for this stool. . The price was great and the workmanship was good but that's not enough reason to keep it so I returned it. Think carefully before you buy this. If you have a really high mattress, this won't help much.
