I had this rug on my desk for about 2 months, I cleaned my desk and found that the backing was leaving black residue on my custom wood desk, the residue was difficult to remove but I was able to remove it without damaging my desk finished. The lighting is also a cool feature but it was inconsistent and honestly didn't go with the color, the red was brighter than the rest of the products on my desk and it didn't go together very well. Very dissatisfied with it.
