I just bought a new mattress and before it was delivered I knew I had to make sure my cat didn't destroy this expensive purchase! I regret not trying sticky paws sooner as my current mattress has been scratched to shreds over the years. I'm a pushover and let my cat get used to scratching the corner before jumping on my bed. I stuck this sticker over the torn area because I didn't think it would change my cat's long-ingrained habit. Alternatively, I also placed a cardboard sheet on the floor above the bed. To my amazement, my cat immediately freaked out and used the scratching board instead. Now I can wait for my new mattress knowing my cat won't ruin it.
