I was looking for big sticky pads to cover the corners of sofas so I didn't have to use a whole roll of double sided tape. They were so thin it was difficult to keep them on the couch even when I put them on. If you accidentally touch them, they will stick to your finger, blanket or pants. First, they are very difficult to attach. The film is very thin and sticky and tends to stick to fingers, the surface and itself rather than furniture. I bought the XL version of this item - 9x12 sheets. It works (sort of), but I actually prefer the smaller strips of tape. I put them on a corner of our bed because the cat likes to scratch the mattress there. Other comments 8/2/18: I also used this on an expensive leather chair from WS Home in bonded or other treated leather!). Pulling it off to replace the b/c dirt collection was an issue as usual, but didn't damage the leather surface, although some sticky muck was left behind. I hate giving it only 3 stars as I'm sure it has worked for many cats. In theory, this is a really great product. I give it three stars mainly for how ineffective it is for my specific needs. My kitty finally learned to jump on the kitchen table. I don't care where they're allowed to go, but the kitchen counter is the only place they're strictly forbidden. My older boy never bothered to jump in so this is my first time dealing with a cat that has access to an area they are not allowed to enter.
