After using the remote control for the first time, it was great with additional buttons for frequently used channels. However, after just over two weeks of use, the first controller died. New batteries didn't help and the TV didn't see anything from the remote control when I pressed the buttons. I ended up using the back of the new controller to attach my original controller as that was one of the reasons I bought new controllers as it kind of got lost. After using the original controller for a couple of weeks I remembered buying two packs and pulling out the second controller and I was back to working with extra buttons on the original controller. After only using the second controller a few times. Months ago he also gave up and no longer works. New batteries don't matter and the TV doesn't recognize the pressed buttons when I press the button on the controller. I reverted to my original controller which is still working after over two years. I would suggest going with a Roku OEM controller and spending a little more money as it just works better.
