Review on Simpli Home Rectangular Storage Ottoman Furniture in Accent Furniture by April Scott

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The most positive review I've ever written.

Pretty well made, especially for the price. Don't let the cheap price fool you. The whole "skin” is out of the blue, the seams under the lid and even on the bottom are neatly finished. The lid fits snugly under the square, the hinges are perfectly aligned. The soft drop feature works. Mine came with no scuffs or anything, it's just what I needed. Provides extra storage for my bedroom clothes: a rarely used off-season duvet. Great place to sit to tie your laces - it's slightly below chair height which is fine for that. (Necessary as I have a captain's bed - too high to sit on the edge!) "Assembly" is easy: place the legs inside the chalk outlines at each corner. Look closely at the illustration - I almost tried putting mine on backwards and forwards! Screw holes run along the outer edges. Make sure the large holes are facing you. The reason there are no pre-drilled pilot holes (as several reviewers point out) is because these are self-tapping screws. They must be driven in with a drill/screwdriver. The elongated holes in the legs serve as a guide - it is almost impossible to sit down crookedly. I've spent a lot more on items that were sloppy or just plain badly made. It's the other way around. I'm not too positive, I'm often a picky reviewer. This is the best rating I have ever given here.
