I was hesitant about connecting the Ring 2020 directly to the mains or using solar power. In my case, my doorbell only had 61% battery life when I first connected it to the solar panel. It took some time to fully charge. At first I was worried I thought it wouldn't work but now I'm glad I tried it. Now I can set the ring to monitor constantly without draining the battery. I hope this panel lasts a long time. I've been using it for a few days now with no problems. This brand is cheaper than other competitors.
