Why Isn't There Toast in America? Well, now we do. Toast is basically a grilled cheese sandwich made of slabs that form the shape of sand. I would say that the average kid who can be left alone after school can handle it. So delicious. As an older woman, I like this for lunch or breakfast. The plates are very non-stick coated. I usually just wipe it off once it cools and I rarely use oil. Paninis are good too. Waffles haven't been made yet, but it might happen. Will definitely lift your basic turkey sandwich in about 3 minutes with no problems and no fuss
