Attention rust! suitable for aquarium pumps and filters

I was satisfied with this air stone for about a year until my fish died. I healed, cleaned and operated the aquarium, planted new fish and after 3 days all the fish died again. This went on for several months. I tested the water to no avail. The last time I cleaned my tank I took the air stone off the air hose only to have this disgusting black and red rust slime running down my arms. Poor fish! Stay away from aquarium products that contain metal!
