Read this review to find out how to work with it.

I have attached a chart that is not included with this unit but should be included. In any case, I have found that one should IGNORE the chart (cell count), but use the chart as a reference to get the correct battery type (lead acid, lithium ion, etc.). In my experience, I had to set myself up the device should read 2 cells, although the tested battery consists of 6 cells. The microprocessor needs to know the battery type and the number of cells to be sampled. HOWEVER, this is something wrong with all 4 units I have purchased. The only reading I get from ANY OTHER cell counter is 100% or 0%. So here's what I had to do: I had to setup the device for the battery type. (Lithium Ion in my case) Then I had to choose c1 (c for lithium, number of cells 1). I tried 6 as it's a 6 cell battery and it didn't work. So I went from 1 to 18 and well ALL settings worked except C2. I also use this to replace Powerextra 7.4V for Sony NP-F960 battery (with USB and power output). It works EXCELLENT. No problems and accurate results. It gives me the same readings on the device. like the charger. So just select the battery type and then look at the cell count until you get something close to your gauge on the charger that you can't screw up as that's the ONLY thing that isn't zero or 100% When your battery is full, not discharged or fully charged, you cannot damage it. Hope this helps you!
