So I wanted to love!

Husband surprised me with this tripod after I bragged about it. We watched YouTube videos, that sold it. Upon arrival we were impressed with the packaging, look and feel. I installed it in my living room using the one hand technique that youtubers showed me. Liked the ARCA record mount. we were happy That night I went outside to photograph the moon with my new Nikon Z7 and a 200-500mm lens. Pointed the lens at the moon and then watched it slide out of frame in real time. (and yes I mounted the lens on a tripod) Ball head tightened again, still slipping. As I tried to hold it in place, I noticed my legs wobbling and bending a little under the weight of my installation. Tried to stabilize better, did not help. In the end, I held my shots in my hands. My pissed off husband didn't believe me when I walked in frustrated so he went out to prove me wrong. The same happened to him. The next day I took it with me to take some landscape shots. Dizzy how easy it was to carry in my pocket. Using a lighter 16-50mm lens, I set up the tripod again and found the head didn't rotate. If you try to raise and pan your head, it will fail. You can not take a stable pan. damned! But I still want to love him. I watched and waited for it to develop. Got it gifted with my new camera, I don't like giving gifts back but I had to and it broke my heart. I still want to love him and I want him. Ready. I am looking.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Negative gift
