We have had several Labrador Retrievers and they love to swim! Although we have always washed nylon webbing collars often, they usually start to smell after a while. We were looking for a water collar that dries quickly and doesn't start to smell. This collar works perfectly, although it's not the best collar for walking a hefty 80 pound dog. However, it works well for keeping his tracks when he's in the water. We are light green in color and we like the fact that it shows up well on a black dog. A note: the D-ring on this collar is very thick! We use tag clips to easily move tags from one collar to another and the largest dog tag clips will not fit this D-ring. We solved the problem by putting some keyrings on the D-ring and then attaching the clips to the keyrings, but this causes the fobs to hang quite low. Using a smaller D-ring improves the situation.
