I have just received it and it meets my expectations. Nothing fantastic. Lots of plastic except cables. Good for the price. The entire cable itself is 1/2 inch. However, the metal braided cable, which is the most important part and most difficult to break through, is about 1/4 inch thick. The other 1/4" is the plastic/rubber sleeve/sleeve around the metal cable. It's easy to cut through. But for the $15 price point, you'll get your money's worth because it's good value.
