Review on π Nobsound Vacuum Amplifier Current Tester: Accurate Measurement for Audio Devices by Brett Robinson
not sure what went wrong but
I followed the directions to the letter "T" and ended up with two dead tubes! This means that once the Nobsound was in place I plugged in the original tube, turned on the amp and read '1', dialed a few different values on my multimeter and nothing. After turning off the amp and removing the tube and no sound, I replaced the tube in the slot and nothing. there isn't even a dim light while everyone else is burning. I thought I just had one bad whistle, repeated the sequence with another whistle (which is just as good and "lit") and again, now I have two whistles dead as a doorknob. not happy!
