Great mounts. I bought a shelf that I built myself. level with the wall. They only protrude 1/8 inch, which is enough to keep the screws on the back of the shelf off the wall. The only criticism is the wall anchors. I didn't have a bolt to attach it to, so I had to use wall anchors. If you build them into the wall, one of the mounts still feels lost. This is a 100% failure of the wall anchors, I hate them and wish they were a better wall anchor than the ones supplied.
