Dell 7050 Micro with UHD 630 graphics plays 4K at 60Hz with Displayport 1.2 and HDMI 2.0

I have bought several cables from this company in the past to connect my old Thinkpads to TVs and they have worked well and seem to have good build quality so thought I'd try a higher resolution cable once I have a 4K TV and a 4K capable computer. I built a Dell 7050 microcomputer from parts and now use it as my main TV and was curious to see what kind of performance I could get from its tiny size. Its HDMI is 1.4, so it's too old for anything 4K above 30Hz, but without really getting into that I assumed at first that it had Displayport 1.4. I read that DisplayPort 1.4 is 4K@60Hz compatible so I decided to give it a try. The TV only has HDMI so I ordered this new higher resolution adapter cable. Little did I know that when I got the cable I could only get 4K at 30Hz on my Vizio V655-G9 TV. I thought it might be a TV so I looked at the TV's specs but it should support 4K at 60Hz. I looked at the graphics card, it should do 4K @ 60Hz. I looked at the properties of the computer - damn it! It has DisplayPort 1.2, not 1.4 (!). I was very disappointed that I didn't look into it further. Was about to pack up the cable and send it back when I read that someone on the Dell Community forum said they could display 4K@60Hz with Displayport 1.2 to HDMI 2.0 with an active HDMI -> DP adapter (!). I haven't been able to get this new cable to work in this video mode but the cable description says it is active so the question is which ones work for DP1.2-HDMI2.0? try updating the driver. All drivers released by Dell and recommended by Windows Update have been updated, but in the past I've used this program called IOBit Driver Booster, which for some reason seems to find much newer component drivers than those normally available from their vendors. Sure enough, the first thing it found were the new Intel UHD 630 drivers. I installed them and rebooted, voila, 4K@60Hz. I don't think it was the cable! Tl; dr is the driver that worked: Intel UHD 630 driver version: 27.20.100.9466 on Windows 19043.1110 (all the relevant specs I can think of are in the attached screenshots). I am very happy with the cable. It was a difficult process but worth it as I got the video mode I was looking for when I bought it. 4K @ 60Hz is just amazing. No HDR on Displayport 1.2 (requires 1.4), but I was afraid I wouldn't even be able to hit a 60Hz refresh rate, so I'm fine with that. All in all definitely a good buy. There are many variables. So if you don't get 4K at 60Hz to begin with, don't assume the cable is to blame, it could be something else - exhaust all other options before you round down.
