My mom passed May 2019, I'd heard of jewelry that holds ashes but had never seen any before. The ones sold by the funeral home were very expensive $100+ and I found the same ones online as well as way better ones. This one caught my eye immediately. I wanted a piece of jewelry that actually looked like jewelry and this was perfect. There are some other options with stones like this but they look much more bulky and not as elegant in my opinion.I filled it myself, not everyone is comfortable with that, the funeral home did offer to do it for free but I didn't order the necklace until after I picked up her ashes and I didn't want to go back to that place. Yours may offer to do it for free as well.It was pretty easy to fill, the opening to the necklace and the funnel are small so make sure you are just trying to put the finest of ashes inside. Also make sure you use glue to seal it. I bought E6000 jewelry glue but it didn't seem to be drying and after a whole day i used regular super glue instead and it's held up 8 months so far with no problems. I do not shower with it on and have kept the box it came in to store it when I'm not wearing it.I'm very happy with it, I find myself holding it and touching it alot and it's held up nicely. I get many compliments. To anyone reading my review Im sorry for your loss and if you buy this I hope it gives you the same comfort it has given me.
