I bought this collar and spiked collar at the same time as I was looking for ways to curb my dog's ridiculous flinching when walking on a regular leash. and I didn't even bother to try the collar after using it. It works very efficiently and quickly fixes the worst behavior. The dog threw a tantrum for about 5 minutes the very first time we put it on and then we went for a quiet and pleasant walk right after, almost no problems since. Every now and then he tries to pull it out of his face for a few seconds, but that made walking the dog a pleasure again. I found this quite easy to set up. Although it has several working parts, you and your dog will both feel better after you've put it on a few times. I also appreciate that there is a safety leash that attaches to a regular collar in case your dog breaks out of the halter. I am very happy with the purchase.
