Review on Kelty Sunshade Update Quick Canopy by Johnny Bloomer

The first day at the beach wasn't that windy and it was great. The second day was windy and I didn't put it up because nothing would have held up. On the third day I put it on, pulled out the guy lines and attached another and it worked for a while but the wind picked up and it turned into a big green and brown parachute. I placed an angle downwind to try and reduce the wind a bit and reduce the wind area but to no avail. This is great for the intended purpose sun protection, works as intended. If you're trying to do it with the wind on the beach, well, good luck. If you can put said sun visor on the beach when it's windy, you're better than me at putting the sun visor on. My dad bought a big umbrella with big aluminum spokes for $25 from a big grocery store that rhymes with Mall-Hart, and it opens easily and looks pretty good with Dad's sardonic looks. I love Kelty, but not in the wind. Probably not made for the beach. Update: On the fourth day he started but fortunately was stopped by the ocean. If you take him to the beach, take sandbags to which you can attach a quickdraw. At least it helps him keep it. Although the wind blows good. A cable broke on one of the posts. Maybe because the wind blew it onto the beach or because it had to be fetched out again. I am not sure. Definitely not made for the beach wind of Salvo, NC on the Outer Banks. It was windy here every day I was here. Dad's umbrella is still standing though. I'll say it again, with no wind or light breeze it's probably pretty good. Update II: I think we've just had a very windy week at the beach. I don't think it's fair to expect this dome to withstand the winds we've seen this week. I was very upset that it didn't work, but I'll fix the gum and try again next year. The day he worked was amazing.
