My favorites for a good emergency radio are digital station search, handle, USB and battery operation, FM/AM/NOAA, battery indicator, alarm functions, earplugs. Connection for personal listening - battery capacity to charge your smartphone (at least 2000 mAh) This radio has everything on my wish list. This Midland ER310 does not technically have a memory settings function. However, there is a button that quickly toggles between NOAA, FM and AM. Until the battery dies it stays on each of the three bands on the last station I was on. For example, I can switch between three selected stations if they are on three different bands (NOAA 162.550, FM 101.1, AM 590). It took 6 hours to charge the radio via USB on the computer. In addition, charging via the solar panel takes 6 hours. The radio and flashlight can be used at the same time, which is nice.
