Works great for welding and soldering
I had to weld some nickel strips onto tiny AAA size Li-ion batteries and it worked great. This product came with a nickel strip that was too wide for my needs so I simply used scissors to cut a piece into appropriately sized strips. I set the "Gear" to 4.0 and the delay to 0.5 seconds and when it was triggered there were sparks and welding.
