Review on Key Fits 1996-2006 BMW Keyless Entry Remote Fob (LX8FZV by Duke Ballard

Works as expected: Keyless entry systems

Need a key fob to replace my old key fob from my 99 BMW. I ordered 2 blanks of a regular key fob like mine that only required you to cut and rearrange the chip and electronics. The electronics in the new keys didn't fit as well as the original, so after a month the key fob stopped working. This key came with electronics for remote door opening and a chip (programmed somehow I think) to start the car. Removed the chip from the new key, opened the Servant Key and placed it in the new diamond-shaped key fob. Programmed key fob to open doors and start the vehicle with the key. Pretty quick and easy. A local locksmith carved the key for $25. Not a bad deal for under $50 when the dealer wanted $270 for a new remote.
