Just used key fob top

I only used key fob top and chip and kept the original key as you probably can't get BMW to sync it to your car. Plus you still have to pay to cut it. I just followed the instructions (or youtube instructions) and was able to sync the key/chip. There were no more problems with closing and opening the car.

Pros
  • Pleases
Cons
  • Disappears

While the quality is good and they were EASY AND FREE to program, but.

Although the quality is good and they were EASY AND FREE to program, the cutting is a nightmare. BMW won't touch them, and since it's a two-way key with a remote attached, most refuse to even try. The only downside is that they sometimes lock or unlock the trunk or doors if you accidentally press the buttons lightly.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • No productivity

The electronics in the new keys didn't fit as well as the original, so after a month the key fob stopped working. This key came with electronics for remote door opening and a chip (programmed somehow I think) to start the car. Removed the chip from the new key, opened the Servant Key and placed it in the new…
