Update March 2021: We've been using them every night since July last year and there was only one issue in the story that we fixed with an extra pin connector that fits in between the Box and a light strip. They work so well! You can pick a color on the color wheel, move the dot until you find the color you want, and voila, orange for Halloween, red-green gradient for Christmas, etc. We usually use a 7 color blend. One problem remains: Your remote control is garbage. We have never worked with any of these and no instructions are included. The app has a range of 8-10 feet, so you'll need to grab your phone and stand next to the box/plug, connect via Bluetooth, and then make your changes. I just programmed mine to turn on every night and turn off every morning. This saved the timer after we set the power to 18 hours at 17 degrees (F) and the light* was out. * I am impressed. First review: They were so easy to install. I have them on my porch under the eaves and stick much better than expected. If you're picky about straight lines, get it right the first time. Lighting works great. The app is confusing and once you've set your preferred mode, the app will show random modes every time you open it (but the ads will stick with the mode you've set). Attempting to change modes through the app will result in a double screen unless you close and reopen all apps. The remote control we received does not work.
