Get the GX rear derailleur. There were problems with factory components. Should shift perfectly, right? Well, now it's time! I'm running an 11x50 cassette with a 28 tooth front ring and a long cage Sram NX derailleur on a Stumpy 29er. Great climber. Tolerances on 11-speed cassettes are tighter, resulting in rattling and spooky shifting. A stiffer rear derailleur is needed to accommodate more tension. This is where the Sram GX fits into the puzzle. You want to hear the shifter, not your cassette. Good, strong clicks. You also need the right chain. Sram PC 1170 is well suited for 11 speeds.
