Review on 🏍️ Enhanced Universal LCD Digital Motorcycle Speedometer MPH Tachometer with Colorful Display and Speed Sensor by Mike Snedeker

Good for parts, that's all.

My first HUD unit (a device that shows your speed, current gear, RPM, etc.) was ripped off my bike (TaoTao Hellcat 125) a few weeks ago when I slipped down to the Floor. . All cables were intact, but the fasteners were destroyed during the accident. So obviously I needed a replacement HUD block. Enter this product. It was about $10 cheaper than buying another OEM HUD and looked pretty much the same, so the choice was clear. The problem is that it took me about a week to figure out how to change the damn thing from km/h to mph (you seem to be holding the right button on the driving screen?), and once I had done that, the speedometer didn't even show up. I agree; No matter what speed I drove, no matter what wheel diameter I set, the HUD always showed more than twice my actual speed. *Also* the speedo broke when I hit a pothole in the road, snapping one of the wires. I ended up disassembling it and returning the usable components for scrap and parts ie wiring and bracket. Pros: Tracks RPM, current gear, headlight status (high/low), looks almost identical to the OEM HUD. Cons: Doesn't connect to an existing speedometer, instead you have to TEST YOUR BRAKE DISC to install the included speedometer, instructions are mostly useless (a piece of paper a little bigger than a credit card, written in bad English), salespeople are literally impossible. Contact As there is no email, fax, phone etc anywhere on the internet, the RPM reading is delayed by about half a second and the wiring is not at all secure, it detached from the circuit board when my bike hit a medium sized pothole . TLDR: Good for spare parts and more.

Pros
  • Gauges
Cons
  • I won't say anything
