They are nice and bright for small spaces like above the washing machine or in a closet. However, keep in mind that not all come with a remote control, it's just a light. Which was good because I already had one that came with a remote that controlled both, which was good in this case. If you want them to be controlled separately you will need to order units with remotes so you can change the settings inside and have them only respond to their own remotes. We only use it for a short time, so the battery lasts quite well for us.
