Bought these to replace an identical set that was 7 or 8 years old that I had given to someone else. Something must have changed in production as I also had these dies when I bought them direct from Dell but the 8 year olds worked great. The first set was completely DOA, the second set worked, but even at 100% volume it was so quiet that almost nothing could be heard. Many thanks to Revain for free return shipping on both sets. I ordered a cheap set of active speakers from another brand and they do the job perfectly.
