I have 3 Vanguard tripods. These are by far the best tripods I have ever used and I will continue to buy them. However, this Vanguard tripod is much worse. The main issue is that the knobs flex too much when panning and tilting. The arms move in front of the head. This deviation in millimeters can lead to vibrations as soon as the head unit starts to move. I quickly returned this item. I'm more interested in video so I need knobs for smooth panning. If you only use the ball head, you have to manually pan when moving the camera, which can lead to jerky movements. I ended up using a cheap pan/tilt I had lying around at home. I just stick with it. It's much smoother and more responsive than this expensive device. This product is very strong and durable but they really missed the mark on a small issue that could easily be improved.
