Unreliability in kitchen utensils and appliances

Bought this to complement my Hornady high precision beam scale. Took the crappy batteries out of the box and replaced them with some new AAAs from Energizer. The scale was accurate for a while (I checked it with a Hornady scale and the readings were almost identical) and then it suddenly went up 0.3 grams. and stay there until I turn off the power. For example, I would measure 4.4 gr. Powder when processing a new 9mm load and the scale reads accurately but after 10 or 12 measurements it suddenly reads 4.7g with the zero now at 0.3g and not 0.0 g lies. I've tried leaving it on for a few minutes to warm up before use, but to no avail. She would still have added the same 0.3 grams. after several measurements.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Trade-in available
