I was afraid to try this because I didn't want to lose my camera. But when I tried it on my table, I was able to raise the table! And when I put it on the car (wipe the surface first) I was able to rock the WHOLE CAR with it. Great device for the price. On some vehicles with window curves, you can use a longer arm extension. This made it impossible for me to get the cups up to window level in the car we were using, so camera angles were somewhat limited, but I still got what I needed. Although this device is suitable for almost everything.
