While not as bright as my Mighty Bright orchestra lamp, it's much more compact and requires no batteries or a long cord to connect. Love that it's rechargeable! As others have pointed out, some light shows come from the front (on your face) and the back (on your fellow musicians or the audience). I don't mind putting tape on it. I want to congratulate the person (or team) who developed this. I'll add that the first one I bought failed after a few uses. I either broke the switch or damaged it from charging the battery. I love this product so much and the price is so low I didn't want to bother with returns. I just threw it away and bought another one that works fine.
