Sooo weird. In any case, this receiver is the perfect solution. It plugs into an AUX jack like headphones, and then you connect your phone to it via Bluetooth like a speaker. It took about two seconds to set up - literally just plugs in - and works well. If you're using it alongside an old iPhone (maybe 6?), the iPhone XR recognized it too. This thing has a funny Bluetooth name - it's called the SB-13 or whatever - but that's the only oddity. Seriously happy with it. Too bad I didn't get it sooner.
