These lamps were the right size and price for what I needed. I use this to glow in solid cabinets that will be varnished. When I'm looking for pots and pans, the color question doesn't bother me. But they are easy to set up, have a long cable length and deliver a decent quality of light. They are also a lot brighter than I expected. On the other hand, they suffer from the dreaded color banding problem. In the photos you can see a distinct band of white light flanked by a band of yellow light on each side. It's not about the light band itself, but about the transparent cover over the headlight. The lid is made of U-shaped plastic with 90° edges. These edges cause light passing through them to be projected yellow. The band extends 20° to each side of the beam. I've included a photo of 1ft and 3ft to show it doesn't mix even remotely. If you use it to illuminate the wall up or down, the yellow will only be visible at the top. This way, if the strip is behind a canopy, you won't notice it because the wall has pure white light. I wouldn't use this anywhere that requires color accuracy as it's very noticeable.
