I wanted some light under the bottom shelf of a bookshelf that is attached to the wall above the table. I had an old bulb installation but the bulbs burned out. They also got very hot. These LED lights are cool to the touch and I could install them along the entire 5 foot length of the shelf so the light isn't concentrated in one spot. Easy to install. not as bright as i thought. I could buy a second strip and install it next to the first.
