Well, me had a brilliant idea of adding some funnels to the front 2x4s of my reload stand for easy access to bullets when reloading. Anyway, I looked at the Revain and decided to use them instead of the normal mounts. which come in most 6-pack plastic containers at hardware stores. The reason I thought was that they looked a lot more durable to hold a container full of bullets which was obviously quite heavy. These mounting plates are made of durable plastic and are very easy to assemble. The kit includes all the mounting hardware needed so it only took a few minutes to get the job done, a spirit level and a cordless drill. Why am I only giving them 3 stars? In fact, the problem lies in the design. These brackets are 3 1/8" tall (ideal for a 2x4 front, btw). The mounting holes are 1 1/4" from the top edge, which is too far away for the entire bracket to not detach from the wall could if there is a lot of weight in the container. Hopefully this will always remain just an annoying cosmetic issue; however, it is likely that the clips will eventually break due to excessive bending and stress. If you buy a pack of 6 plastic containers from your local hardware store, they cost about the same as these mounts and come with a pair of individual mounting brackets. These mounts are only 3/4" tall and the mounting holes are 1/2" from the top. While the mounts are much thinner than these, they still flex less since the bracket holes are in the correct position.I hope that makes sense.Personally I'll probably fix the issue ben by simply drilling new holes near the top of these strips; but at such a price it was necessary to think about this problem and solve it.
