The first impression is a high quality backpack. I specifically bought a SMALL backpack to accommodate my little 3, almost 4 year old. More specifically, I wanted a backpack with a chest strap so my boy could walk around without his bag bumping around. The bag fits our needs perfectly. Only in the main compartment can I store a change of summer clothes, snacks and 2-3 bottles of water. At first I thought the extra straps were too long, but I like that they can be adjusted so my 5ft 9in husband or I, 5ft, can carry a backpack. I didn't buy it for binders or school books. . This is a day package for trips to the park or museum. It also serves as an overnight package.
