Haven't read or looked at the dimensions but it's a bit small. I can fit in a pencil case and a water bottle and that's it. Anything larger is not only too bulky for the size but also too heavy for my 4 year old. Otherwise this backpack is great! It's really comfortable and the zippers are easy for my daughter to manage. Still, the breast clamp is easy enough for her. She also likes the color (red). The color looks the same as in the picture. This makes for a fun and useful Prek backpack.

My little one loves this backpack. I think he will grow up very well with her too. I like bright colors. It looks durable and the straps make it grow. It is lightweight and has a front strap like a backpack. When excited, she will run away and the leash will land her on her butt. I don't really see that as a problem. Definitely a small backpack. I agree with other reviews that the photos on the listing make it look bigger. However, it is PERFECT for our 3 year old. The first impression is a high quality backpack. I specifically bought a SMALL backpack to accommodate my little 3, almost 4 year old.
