Review on 🍫 Quest Nutrition Protein Bar, Peppermint Bark: Deliciously Nutritious, 12 Count by Julie Lemus

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A solid seasonal choice but still a protein bar!

I live for pumpkin spice season, but I'm actually pretty picky when it comes to pumpkin and pumpkin (pie) spices. I think these pumpkin pie bars from Quest are pretty good. I gave them 4 stars based on taste, quality, ingredients and macros **for a protein bar** - I'm not comparing them to pumpkin pie or actual desserts. If I could give 3.5 stars that would be my pick, but here I've rounded up to 4 as I think this is one of the best seasonal pumpkin protein options. For what it's worth, I personally think they're better in flavor and texture than the pumpkin pie flavored One bars. These Quest bars don't have the strong, artificial fall air freshener flavor of *many* pumpkin spice flavored products. The consistency is pretty good too, but this is definitely a protein bar. They're not amazing (Constructed Bars are still my favorite protein bar, even though they don't taste like pumpkin pie), but they're good. They don't have too many calories for me either, as I try to stick to less than 200 calories for 20g protein bars. They're also mostly sugar-free but contain sugar alcohols, and I love that they're sweetened with stevia instead of artificial sweetener. I'd rather avoid palm/palm kernel oil, but hopefully Quest sources it responsibly. I live in Florida so it's still hot here and they arrived all soft and melted; but they seem to have solidified again very well.

Pros
  • Protein Bar
Cons
  • No Machine
