As with other reviewers, the diagnosis was that the water tank was overflowing with city water, indicating a failure of the check valve in the pump. When I spoke to Shurflo customer service, I was told I could purchase a check valve kit for about $12 or this item for about $10 more. He said the check valve kit was a bit tricky to install so I went with this item. I read the instructions carefully and the installation went smoothly. One caveat: the kit included a small rubber ring that was prominently visible in the pump during assembly, but the instructions didn't say anything about putting the ring in the seat. Follow this. As said, the "full" case only replaces the pressure switch and check valve.
