I used this flexible tripod for a whole month on a trip to Europe and it has held up great. The legs were flexible enough to wrap around most things a bit, but because the ball joints are plastic they made a very loud squeaking noise every time I had to adjust them. I also had to use "Loctite" threadlock because one of the legs would come loose if I adjusted it too many times. Other than that, the tripod is pretty durable, survived my month-long trip, and when I used it to record myself or take a selfie, the tripod gave me a range of about 4-6 inches (to be clear, a real tripod is longer than this). , but once you shape it into a banana and extend the camera to take a picture of yourself, the camera is only 4-6 further away than if you were holding the camera without a tripod). Maybe next time I'll use a longer tripod, although that really isn't necessary.
